Spring Thaw Fundraiser

Jules did her usual crazy awesome job. Everyone pitched in from painting dead trees to kid watching. They raised a bunch of dough for LaSalle II and threw a very cool party for about 300 people at the Mercedes dealership on North Avenue.

Lumpy dumpy gets some sisters

Natalie fell down the stairs because she was wearing princess shoes. She says Lumpy Dumpy (on the left) now has little sisters - mostly red scrapes. I say stop falling on her head.

Elliot's map of the neighborhood

I am so proud of Elliot. His map of the neighborhood uses proper urban planning land use colors. Key sites are: (1) Jenny's house, yellow three flat at the top of the map. (2) Humboldt Park, green rectangle right near Jenny's house. (3) Wicker Park, green square in the center of the map. (4) Pollos Vivos, our local live chicken store, red square center of map. (5) Our home, yellow square near the bottom of the map. (6) La Salle Language Academy II and Pritzker School, the two blue shapes (institutional land uses!) near our home.

Also of note: (1) one way sign (2) kids being towed on a sled (3) stop sign (4) snowflakes (5) cars (6) stop light (7) garbage can and garbage truck.

Natalie took the camera the other day when she went to the gym with Jules. She will not tell me the secret of how she got that red picture of E.B. She says it was "magic."
