Goofy Athena

Halloween crazies.

Just like their parents did when they were kids, Halloween started by going trick or treating at the local sushi and gelato places among other businesses along Division Street. Then we hit Hoyne, which is becoming more of a scene every year.

Birthday boy!

Eighth birthday party was pretty low key. "Go downstairs and stay there" was the extent of parental involvement.

Elliot asked for Sultan's Market for the meal. Genius. We have leftovers for the rest of the week. So what if a dozen kids went without lunch today.

Artist at work

Kindergarten work is cool.

Mr Imagine's Toy Store

The Chicago Children's Museum put up a temporary exhibit on Milwaukee Ave called Mr. Imagine's Toy Store. Kids and parents got to make things out of cardboard boxes and other supplies. Then there was more biking for little Miss Tag Along.

Athena, the goddess of wisdom and Heracles, son of Zeus.

The Percy Jackson series has had a powerful impact in our house over the last year.

AIC #2

The weapons room was very popular. Based on the armor and weapons that we saw, the Germans really knew how to kill people.

Half Day at AIC

CPS only had a half day today. Dad got to watch the kids. We saw the Jeanne Gang exhibit at the AIC and then walked past her office in the hood at Ashland and Division on the way home. Pretty cool. Incidentally, The Bean still delivers.
