Elliot's Goes to Beijing
Elliot is coming home Monday after 15 days in Beijing. It's a trip with other 8th grade students from three Chicago Public language magnet schools. The exchange is with a boarding school in Beijing. During the week, they stay in the school dorms.
Elliot and his roommate, Nikhil, are the only boys on the trip. On the weekends, they stay at their assigned exchange student's home. Elliot's student goes by the English name - Star. Elliot told me Friday when we had a video chat, this past Wednesday and Thursday night, a bunch of the students hung out in his room until 1 am. The Friday outing was tough.
Note - Elliot has sent two pictures & three texts containing the words 'yup', 'yup' and 'yup fam'. He apparently has pics on his phone to share when he gets home. We'll upload the highlights then.
