Fun party. It got a little Lord of the Flies with the dead paper mache unicorn carcass. Nata was yelling "Eat the Unicorn meat!" at one point.

Pretty good timing to (mostly) finish the back garden. Nata's birthday turned into a mini-party when Grandma Bonnie, Suzy, Jonah and Kiki came by.

Teachers' Strike

 

EB and Nata are spending some quality time at Journey World thanks to the teachers' strike. At least Ava, Cal, and Thomas are with them.

Back garden progress

 

Lots of progress. The guys made more headway on the planters on Saturday. Monday, they put in the bed liners, started adding dirt and put down the base gravel layer. Perfect for some evening football.

Barring a catastrophe, it should be all set for Nata's birthday party on Saturday.

Nata did a great job at her first soccer game. Lots of good touches and hustle.

EBD had a hat trick in the first quarter and was told (by Dad) to stop scoring. Later he yelled across the field "I'm trying not to score!" to make his intentions clear.

Had an end of season BBQ. The girls really brought it up a notch when they broke out the dress up clothes.
