Drums!!!

Elliot started drum lessons yesterday. We went to Vic's drum shop to get him some "sticks". Got a tour of this North America's largest drum specialty shop from Paul, a professional drummer and employee. Paul was super excited to pass along the drumming love to an enthusiastic 10 year old boy. 805 different kinds of sticks, 100 drum sets assembled to check out, two rooms full of cymbals, plus a cymbal magazine for some take home reading, a room full of cowbells (no reaction to my 'needs more cowbell comment). Geoff is looking forward to a loud drum set in the basement with the cat.

Halloween

Nata dressed mom up. Aunt Bean, I'm wearing the red crushed velvet dress from the vintage Xmas dress up bin (not fully zipped). I'm seeing a tradition. Looks like my days of just throwing on a cape are over.

Nata sang and played piano. EBD played piano. Good stuff. Sad that Mr. Terrell is moving to Florida.

After the show we walked in a Grant Park sculpture exhibit and capped it off with dinner at Potbelly's. Glamorous.
